COMPANY BACKGROUND

Fitness by Reese was originally formed in January 2000. Initially a sole proprietor business entity, Fitness by Reese operated as Reese Brown doing business as Fitness by Reese. While stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI with the US Navy, Reese Brown was Command Physical Readiness Leader, in charge of helping sailors at his command pass physical readiness testing. Upon completion of his duty with the US Navy and returning to the Savannah area, Reese wanted to continue using his expertise in fitness and health to achieve positive results for civilians, or anyone, in need of his services. He very quickly started a small personal training business at a local gym on the Southside of Savannah. Since its inception, Fitness by Reese has prided itself solely upon achieving positive fitness results.

In 2005, Erin Dalton, a local CPA and devoted client of Fitness by Reese, left her full time accounting job to form a legal partnership with Reese. Erin had been a client of Fitness by Reese since early in 2002. By 2003, Erin was a certified fitness instructor and taught fitness classes at various fitness clubs in the Savannah area. During her time as a Fitness by Reese client, she has achieved dramatic results by following a Fitness by Reese Transformation Program. After teaching fitness part-time for several years, Erin decided to make fitness a full time and lucrative endeavor. Reese and Erin formed a legal partnership, Fitness by Reese, LLC (the Company) in October 2005.  With Reese’s extensive fitness knowledge, Erin’s business expertise, prior business experience and a little more marketing exposure, the Company has grew exponentially in a short amount of time.

The Company’s primary services offered are the 12 week transformation personal training programs and Boot Camp Savannah. Documented evidence exists proving that these two services alone, whether in a group format or in a trainer-client setting, are successful in achieving the above mentioned fitness and health goals.

Fitness by Reese organized and implemented the most recent WSAV Move it For Your Health Challenge programs. During that time, the company was featured each Tuesday on the 6:00 PM WSAV News, allowing viewers to call in and ask live Fitness by Reese trainers questions about fitness and nutrition.

Fitness by Reese also organized and implemented the fitness program for the most resent Subway/WSAV Get Fit Challenge.

Fitness by Reese is most renowned for its Boot Camp Savannah program. Savannah Morning news and other local publications have previously featured articles about Fitness by Reese Boot Camp Savannah.

Savannah Magazine has rated Fitness by Reese has received “BEST” ratings numerous consecutive years.

Even more recently, Reese and Erin appeared on a nationally televised reality series called “Ruby”, a reality show about a woman’s battle against morbid obesity leading to a predicted untimely death. The show currently appears on E entertainment’s network Style. On this series, Reese and Erin were cast as themselves, serving as personal trainer and fitness experts for Ruby, the show’s apparent star. Erin made only brief appearances on the show while Reese was cast as a regular character on season one of the series. Both Reese and Erin made one final, yet dramatic appearance on Ruby season 2. Reese and Erin are locally recognized as TV personalities, and even approached by some out of town tourists who recognize them from their appearance on the reality show. According to the blogs, Ruby fans and Style channel viewers are definitely aware of who and what Fitness by Reese is and does.

The company’s slogan “Results are what we are about” is a fitting one, to say the least. But how does the Company get their clients to achieve the results? Fitness by Reese programs demand consistency by requiring all client attendance a minimum of 3 days per week. Training packages are not aggressively marketed, but rather the company prides itself on accepting clients who demonstrate a true desire to make a positive change in their lives. The company doesn’t market by the session, hour sessions or even half hour sessions. Fitness by Reese promotes packages/programs that require a minimum of 3 day workout routines. Sessions are completed when the workout is completed, and not when 1 hour or ½ hour has lapsed with the client. Our trainers are committed to pushing clients, in every work out, to the outer realms of their comfort zones, with out surpassing their physical limits. Company trainers consistently council clients on their commitment to do what it takes (cardio, strength training & nutrition) to achieve their goals. As long as a program participant demonstrates a TRUE desire to attain their goals, the Company staff goes above and beyond contract in their time commitment regarding the participant. Rescheduling missed workouts is mandatory. Furthermore, severe tardiness for work outs is not tolerated and generally offset by a step up in work out intensity.
