I had almost given up that I was ever going to be in shape again.  I was athletic, but had a hard time knowing what I was supposed to do in the gym.  I was desperate when I called Fitness by Reese.  I needed help with the right workout and nutrition.  I signed up for the 12 week transformation with Reese and there are absolutely no regrets!  He motivated me and found the right workout just for me and helped me with my nutrition as well.  It was hard work, but so well worth it and I have never felt or looked this good in years.  It really does work, but remember, you have to want it too!!  Thanks Reese for changing my life!

Back On Track

Years ago I trained with other trainers.  Then, like many of us, for one reason or another, I stopped working out.  Everything I had worked so hard for went down the drain.  I felt and looked miserable.  Then one day I looked at a picture of myself taken at my son's wedding.  A place where you would want to look your best!  That's when I realized just how poorly I looked.  I  immediately went to the internet to find a serious trainer.  I thought if he has a website I can access, he's made fitness training a career, not just a means to make extra income.  In addition, I got referrals from friends, and info from the yellow pages.  I interviewed most local fitness trainers, but Reese stood out among the many trainers I interviewed!  Reese, the 'Reese' in Fitness by Reese, has literally and completely changed my life around!  As of this writing, I've been working out with Reese as my personal fitness trainer for a short 3 1/2 months, but my weight, and the shape of my body is completely different than before I started!  I'm so excited and proud to have accomplished all this in such a short time.  But I can tell you that without Reese there to teach me, I would have never accomplished what I have.  He is very knowledgeable. Not just about physical fitness, but nutrition, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness and more.  He has up-to-date technology to help determine each individual persons proper size and weight loss.  To look at Reese, its obvious to see he lives what he teaches, and yet he is a very unpretentious guy. I was impressed.  And you will be also.  That's a promise!

                                           BETTER AT B-BALL

     Working out with Reese has improved my overall game. His 4 week program has allowed me to distance myself from my opponents. I am a better conditioned athlete as a result of completing Reese's 4 week program. This program even increased the range on my jump shot! I encourage any athlete that is looking to take their game to the next level to make it their business to contact the best fitness expert in Savannah.                               TWO ENDINGS TO THE SAME STORY

     In 2003, I found myself overweight, always tired and battling never-ending and terrible pain in my left knee. I had lost all the cartilage there, and I had bone rubbing against bone. Although this is not an uncommon problem for persons of my age, I can personally attest to the fact that one's approach to a situation like this can make a HUGE difference to the outcome. (Surgeons say that 20% is surgery and 80% is what you do for yourself). Eventually I had to have both knees replaced, and this is my account of two very different endings to that same story.

     The first time I had knee replacement surgery was in October of 2003, and although Dr. Edward Whelan did a wonderful job, I did nothing to prepare myself for surgery or to help with rehabilitation afterwards. I ended with no weight loss, no gain of strength in my knee, and with basically no recovery time, since I never actually got better.

     In a year or so, I began to have the same problems with my other knee - constant pain and it often gave out.  When Dr. Whelan recommended that I have my right knee replaced, I was determined to do things differently this time.

     For my second surgery, I wanted to get my heart and lungs in better condition, and I decided that a personal trainer would be the best way to achieve this. I has seen Reese Brown on TV and sought him out. We began an exercise regimen designed specifically for me in June 2005. I worked hard, but eventually the pain in my knee became unbearable, so I had the the replacement surgery in October. Reese was a source of much-needed and endless encouragement during this time, and he even brought me flowers!

     I was back in the gym and hard at work in two weeks. It was easy to bounce back after the second operation making me wish I had been on an exercise routine prior to the first surgery. I lost 45 pounds and 24 inches. The best part is that I look better, feel better and am stronger as well as being able to wear clothing sizes I haven't been in for years. Daily tasks are easier for me, and I can even walk through the mall without having to stop every few feet because of fatigue and a great deal of pain.

     Life is better for me now. I never imagined I could feel this good. Special thanks to Reese Brown and Dr. Edward Whelan.
